Out of thousands of runners in Manila, Cebu and Davao, 12 Filipino participants were recognized for finishing the fastest in their respective tiers at the recently-concluded 7-Eleven Run 2018, held last February 4 at Filinvest City Alabang in Manila, Cebu Business Park, and SM City Davao.

Among these 12 winners are 2 Cebuanos, Rafael Pescos and Lizane Juay Abella, who were overall winners of the 42 KM race for males and females respectively, in all 3 locations. Both of them will join the other four winners of the 42KM race and 6 winners of the 21KM race in the Jeju International Tourism Marathon, South Korea.

Joining Pescos and Abella in the international marathon are the overall Filipino 2nd and 3rd placers for 42KM race for both male and female participants. Bagging the 2nd and 3rd spot for the 42KM Male race are Richeel Languido and Bryan Quiamco, both from Davao. For the 42KM Female race, the 2nd and 3rd placers are Maricar Camacho of Manila and Judelyn Miranda of Davao.

As part of their prize for winning the marathon, 7-Eleven is sponsoring the trip for all 12 Filipino winners – granting them an all-expenses-paid trip to South Korea for the Jeju International Tourism Marathon slated this May 2018.

Last year, 9 Filipino runners represented Team 7-Eleven Philippines and dominated the full and half marathon races at Da Nang International Marathon in Vietnam. This was the fifth year 7-Eleven brought Filipino runners to international races, so stakes are definitely high.
