February 28, 2008 was the night of celebration and recognition as the country’s major players of the different franchising companies gathered at the Crown Plaza Hotel for the Franchise Excellence Awards (FEA) 2007 hosted by the Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) and the Philippine Retailers Association (PRA).
Opening remark was led by none other than PFA and Max Restaurant’s President, Mr. Robert Trota to formally welcome the guests. In his inspirational speech, he highlighted that “excellence is not a product of luck; neither it is inherited. It cannot be bought nor stolen. It can only be achieved with great commitment and hard work. This is why excellence is a great honor.” It was also noted that the Philippines ranks 4th in the world, after the US, China and Japan which further boosts Filipino pride and competitiveness around the world.
Philippine Seven Corporation (PSC) reached its height as it continues to dominate the 24-hour convenience store operations in the country which was honored through the achievement of two major awards—the International Franchise of the Year for the Retail Non-Food Category and the Franchisee of the Year care of Mr. Vincent Querol—elevating PSC to the Hall of Fame. Clearly, it was another milestone for the PSC and its franchisees proving its outstanding performance and consistent growth in the franchising industry. It was indeed a great way to start the year right for 7-Eleven. |
