A Day of Partnerships and Success: PSC hosts 3rd Franchise Appreciation Day

Partnerships have always been considered as a give and take relationship between two parties towards mutual benefit and the achievement of parallel goals, a concept fully embodied by the celebration of Philippine Seven Corporation’s 3rd Franchise Appreciation Day, the annual event that lauds the efforts of 7-Eleven 60 strong franchisees.

 

The event, whose theme revolved around “Celebrating Partnerships, Celebrating Success,” was a grand tribute to the partnership forged by PSC to its rapidly growing number of franchisees.

“Our family has indeed grown due to our robust expansion efforts and the unwavering loyalty of our partner-franchisees,” stated PSC President Victor Paterno.

 

Paterno also praised the franchisee’s efforts on improving communication and collaboration with PSC, citing the formal launch of the Franchise Advisory Council as “a bold new step towards a bright future for 7-Eleven in the country.”

 

The Franchise Advisory Council was formed to reinforce franchise relationship by giving franchisees a voice in the formulation of future plans, program and policies set forth by PSC. The Council is lead by co-chairs Angelito Briones (Burgundy- Katipunan) and Francis Medina of PSC, together with representatives Vinzent Thel Querol (St. James- Tandang Sora Q.C.), Jackie Yarcia (MH del Pilar- Manila), Cecile Ortiz (Insular- Makati) , Eufemia Paguio (Tagaytay).

 

Pat Lawson, Managing Director for Franchising and Petroleum Operations and International Licensing for 7-Eleven International Inc. lauded the combined efforts of PSC and the franchisees in making 7-Eleven a true market leader in the Philippines.

 

Vicente T. Paterno, Chairman of PSC, meanwhile provided old and new franchisees with a flashback of the company’s history and modest beginnings.

 

The day-long event also showcased the camaraderie of the 7-Eleven franchisees as each district grouping sought to outdo each other in short talent numbers that formed the entertainment portion for the day.

 

The Franchise Appreciation Day culminated in the awarding of Franchise Excellence Awards, to single out franchisees who posted the highest increases in three categories – namely Sales, Gross Profit and Customer Count. Edel de los Santos of Hansel- Aurora Blvd. bagged the award for the Highest Increase in Gross Profit, while Eufemia Estrallado earned the Highest Increase in Consumer Count and the Highest Increase in Sales Awards for her San Pablo 2- .Laguna

 

Achiever’s Awards were also given to franchisees who earned the highest evaluation ratings for sales, net income, bad merchandise, cash variation, out-of-stock, challenge of excellence and inventory variation. Eufemia Estrallado of San Pablo 2- Laguna gained the 1st place award, while Vinzent Thel Querol gained the 2nd and 3rd place for his Plaridel- Bulacan and Fields 1- Pampanga, respectively.

 

Suppliers of 7-Eleven also handed out awards for top performers who recorded high sales for each respective suppliers. Among those singled out for the Supplier Category Award were Angel Briones of Burgundy- Katipunan for the San Miguel-CKAG, Unilever and Superdough Award; Cecille Ortiz of Virra 1- Makati for the Colgate-Palmolive and British American Tobacco Award; Vinzent Thel Querol of Fields 1 -Pampanga for the Coca-Cola and Johnson & Johnson Award; Cecille Ortiz of Insular- Makati for the Hersey Award; Edel de los Santos of Hansel- Aurora Blvd. for the Unilever RFM Ice Cream Award; and Jose Emmanuel Sitchon of San Fernando 1- Pampanga for the Del Monte, Pepsi and Great Food Solutions Awards.

 

PSC also granted a special citation to Joseph Theodore Pascual of Emerald -Ortigas for achieving the highest recorded sales for a newly opened franchise store.

 

The event ended with an inspiring speech by PSC President Jose Victor Paterno, who called on all franchisees to continue and strengthen further the successful formula of partnership and collaboration that has helped the company and the stores achieve success over the past years.
